BSC. (CLINICAL SC.) MHS (OSTEO)
Shannon Robertson
Dr. Shannon Robertson relocated from Lismore NSW to Sydney to join the team at CBD Health.
Shannon starts her treatments with a comprehensive patient assessment. She uses a wide variety of hands-on osteopathic techniques in her treatments, including soft tissue massage, joint mobilisation, muscle energy techniques (MET), myofascial release, and manipulations. She is trained in Trigger Point Dry Needling and often uses these techniques during her treatments.
Shannon strongly believes in patient education and incorporates explanations of diagnosis and treatment plans with her patients. Shannon encourages patient participation when creating realistic management plans.
Shannon believes that osteopathy encompasses total body health, and that the body’s systems and a person’s lifestyle can affect the body physically. She takes the time to listen and assess the whole person for commencing treatment.
Shannon enjoys the challenge of seeing a wide variety of patients ranging from office workers to athletes and elderly patients.
Shannon competed as a gymnast for 16 years and has competed throughout NSW in her youth. She is familiar with the common sprains and strains that occur within sport and uses this experience to her rehabilitation and management plans.
Shannon studied at Southern Cross University and completed her Masters in Osteopathy. Her interests include horse riding, Pilates, and listening to live music.
