David Freeland
David has close to 4 decades of clinical experience of combining acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine and Tuina to help people address a wide range of health concerns – from stress to feeling run down to women’s health to joint pain via all kinds of ill-health.
(Tuina is a unique Chinese combination of massage, acupressure, energy balancing and joint mobilisation, which is used to enhance the efficacy of acupuncture.)
David draws on both traditional Chinese acupuncture and the very gentle Japanese tradition of “meridian therapy” acupuncture, as well as dry needling of trigger points – so there is a technique to suit anyone.
David trained in acupuncture and Tuina for four years under a local master of the Chinese martial art, Shaolin Quan, and then at the NSW College of Natural Therapies and Traditional Chinese Medicine.
He also completed a three month intensive training in hospital and outpatient settings in Hangzou, China, famed for it’s traditional Chinese medicine.
David loves bush-walking, trekking, climbing and music (he plays harpsichord) and so has a special interest in working with problems associated with these activities – including postural and tension-related obstacles to progress.
